Plainsum Statements

Turn a bank or credit-card statement PDF into CSV or Excel. It adds up the rows and checks the result against the closing balance on the statement before you export, and you can fix any row first.

  • Free: CSV and Excel, 20 pages a day
  • Pro, $19 once: unlimited pages, merge several statements, QBO, OFX and QIF
  • Needs statements with selectable text. Scans are not supported yet.

Redact and compare

Plainsum PDF

Black out sensitive text so it is removed from the file, not just hidden under a box, or compare two versions of a contract and see what changed.

  • Free: manual redaction up to 3 pages per file, on-screen compare of the first 5 pages
  • Pro, $19 once: all pages, auto-find, batch redaction, redline PDF report
  • Names and addresses are not found automatically, so you check every page.

How Plainsum handles your files

Read in your tab

The PDF is opened by code running in your browser. The reader library ships with the site; nothing is fetched from a third party.

Blocked from sending

Every tool page carries a security policy that forbids network connections. Only the activation page, which holds no documents, may contact the license server.

Check it yourself

Open your browser's Network tab while you work: it stays empty. The privacy page walks through it.

Pro, per tool

Each tool is free to start and has its own one-time Pro license, activated on that tool's own activation page. A key for Statements does not unlock PDF, and the other way around. Payment is handled by Creem; Plainsum never sees your card details.
